FAA administrator to testify at reauthorization hearing

By General Aviation News Staff · February 28, 2015 ·

WASHINGTON, D.C. — FAA Administrator Michael Huerta will testify at an Aviation Subcommittee hearing next week on reauthorization of the agency.

The current FAA law expires at the end of September, and a new authorization is one of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s highest priorities this year, according to officials.

Huerta, the only scheduled witness for next week’s hearing, will provide the FAA’s perspectives on reauthorization.

The hearing of the Subcommittee on Aviation, “Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization: Enabling a 21st Century Aviation System,” is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3.

It will be streamed as a live webcast.
