VFR Flight Handbook updated

By General Aviation News Staff · March 20, 2015 ·

The University Aviation Press title, VFR Flight Handbook — previously titled Notes on Flying VFR — has been revised to include additional and updated information, including new aircraft drawings, a reference to computer planning and flight support, several updates to federal aviation regulations, accident statistics, and two new appendices containing a weather element conversion table and a wind conversion chart.

FLY-VFRVFR Flight Handbook contains summaries of all subjects pertaining to VFR flight in a single-engine, fixed-wing aircraft, according to the publisher.

It is intended as a refresher and a reference for licensed, non-instrument-rated pilots, but may also be useful in preparation for a flight review.

Author Anthony Repeta addresses a multitude of topics, including general aircraft operations, avionics and radio phraseology, regulations and procedures for flight in all classes of airspace, airport communications, in-flight emergency procedures, flight services, weather, flight planning calculations, wilderness survival and general aviation accident data.

This 257-page PDF eBook is $19.95.
