Video: Jumping out of a perfectly good B-17

By Ben Sclair · March 24, 2015 ·

“It’s not every day you get to jump out of a Perfectly Good Flying Fortress!” But that’s exactly what members of the Chicagoland Skydiving Center did when the Collings Foundation’s B-17 “Nine-O-Nine” stopped in Chicago 2014.

Gives new meaning to the term “bombs away.”

About Ben Sclair

Ben Sclair is the Publisher of General Aviation News, a pilot, husband to Deb and dad to Zenith, Brenna, and Jack. Oh, and a staunch supporter of general aviation.

True, but with flak and 109s trying to kill them, my guess is that the picture those WWII saw was not *exactly* the same.
