ROMEOVILLE, Ill. — Lewis University and Chicago’s Leading Edge, a chapter of Women in Aviation International, are hosting the fourth annual “Sky’s the Limit” aviation career camp for female high school students from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. May 2 in the Harold White Aviation Center, located on the university’s main campus in Romeoville.
The free interactive aviation camp is designed to inspire young females to develop an interest in aviation, according to organizers.
Events will allow participants to:
- Fly a flight simulator
- Preflight a Cessna 172 and explore a 737 aircraft
- Experiment with aerodynamics and learn about flight training
- Discover career paths in aviation
- Tour the Lewis maintenance hangar with vintage airplanes
