Kentucky’s Blue Grass Airport (KLEX) has opened its Westside General Aviation development.
The new 100,000-square-foot Westside general aviation development is situated on a 25-acre site adjacent to crosswind Runway 9-27.
The new facilities blend into the scenery, while the design of the new T-hangars recall the look and feel of the rural landscape, according to airport officials. The first two buildings, totaling 18,000-square-feet each, feature 12, 1,150-square-foot hangars, a single 3,100-square-foot hangar, a restroom and storage area.
This development expands Blue Grass Airports’ services to include:
- T-hangars and box hangars
- Self-serve fuel farm
- Aircraft cleaning station
- Public amenities area
- Community office for flight planning
- On-site aircraft maintenance
- Snow removal assistance
- Additional storage facilities.
