Sheltair at LAL gears up for SUN ’n FUN

By General Aviation News Staff · April 17, 2015 ·

LAKELAND, Florida — The annual SUN ‘n FUN Fly-In returns to Lakeland Linder Regional Airport April 21-26. The show attracts nearly 500 exhibitors and more than 150,000 aviation-loving attendees each year.

Sheltair (KLAL), the most recent addition to the Sheltair network of FBOs, is gearing up for the big show. Amenities include courtesy shuttles to and from the show grounds, early bird pre-show lunch, Avfuel Contract Fuel, AVTRIP Points and more.

Sheltair KLAL“This is a spectacular event and we are excited for visitors to experience an elevated level of service and support at KLAL,” said Karen Kroeppel, director of sales and marketing for Sheltair. “To facilitate increased fueling demands, we have added to our refueling fleet and have designated personnel in mobile units available in each zone to coordinate fuel service. Additionally, we are more than doubling our staff with experienced line professionals with large event experience to ensure safe, efficient, and seamless service.”

Sheltair (KLAL) operates out of a recently constructed 3,200-square-foot terminal with acres of parking, she noted.

The FBO provides complete general and commercial aviation fuel and ground handling services and offers numerous amenities, including pilot and passenger lounges, conference facilities, flight planning, weather and after-hours service.
