Rich Englert named Hillsboro Aviation’s chief pilot

By General Aviation News Staff · May 11, 2015 ·

Rich Englert has joined Hillboro Aviation‘s management team as chief pilot for the company’s contract and charter division. Division missions include external load, firefighting, aerial survey, film and photography, power line patrol and search and rescue. The company operates a fleet of 13 turbine aircraft and 25 pilots.

Englert first entered the helicopter industry in 1985, inspired by stories of his uncle who flew in the Vietnam War.

He has supported a wide variety of missions, including fire fighting and EMS. His past experience includes 11 years in Alaska as a utility pilot, four years as director of operations, and 14 years as chief pilot.

Englert holds a commercial helicopter license with instrument and flight instructor ratings and has over 12,000 flight hours.
