Airforms awarded PMA for C-208 nosegear torque link assemblies

By General Aviation News Staff · May 14, 2015 ·

BIG LAKE, Alaska – Airforms has received FAA PMA approval for part numbers AF2643084-1 and AF2643084-2, the Upper and Lower Caravan Nose Gear Torque Link Assemblies.

The parts, direct replacements for Cessna P/N 2643084-1 and -2, are eligible for installation on all Cessna model 208 and 208B aircraft, and are precision fit, drop-in replacements for the OEM components, according to company officials.

DSC02006The Torque Links are electrochemically primed and then powder coated for a durable finish, and come ready for installation.

DSC02008Airforms’ Sales and Marketing Executive Steve Hunter explains, “We have been working with a number of Caravan fleet operators for some time, and they have requested numerous PMA programs for components that present challenges due to high OEM component costs, poor availability or short service life. Several operators had requested a PMA program for the Torque Link Assemblies, and we have responded with high quality, economically priced components that will provide long service life – even in the world’s harshest environments.
