Banyan recently celebrated its 10th annual AMT Day. This annual event pays tribute to Charles E. Taylor, the first aircraft maintenance technician (AMT), who built Orville and Wilbur Wright’s engine.
It is also a day that Banyan uses to honor its aircraft maintenance technicians, avionics technicians and parts team.
The event took place in Banyan’s avionics hangar with more than 70 employees enjoying a barbeque lunch celebration.
Bob Van Riper, HondaJet Sales Manager, noted that “technicians don’t get recognized for all the excellent work they do, because being perfect is the expectation.”
Banyan maintenance technicians provide heavy maintenance and turbine engine service, structural repairs and modifications, interior refurbishment, exterior painting and parts sales. The maintenance department specializes in Beechjet, Caravan, Challenger, Citation, Falcon, Hawker, King Air, Learjet, Piaggio Aero, Pilatus, Quest KODIAK, and Twin Commander.
Banyan avionics technicians specialize in installations, repairs, and modifications, including ADSB, glass cockpits, LPV/WAAS upgrades, and more.
