‘Direct To’ Podcast Looks for Lift Factories

By General Aviation News Staff · May 27, 2015 ·

Did you know there are factories that produce lift? The Boldmethod team took a trip looking for them in the mountains of Colorado. And believe it or not, they found them.

In Boldmethod’s third podcast episode of Direct To, Aleks Udris and Colin Cutler wanted to learn more about the world of non-powered flight. So they headed out to the Boulder, CO glider field to talk to the local gliding experts. They learned glider pilots keep themselves airborne for hours a time, as well as the different types of lift that keep them aloft.

You can subscribe to the podcast in iTunes or you can listen on the Direct To Boldmethod website and below.

“Whether you’re commuting to work, at your kid’s soccer practice, or just looking to learn a little more about aviation, the Direct To podcast is a great way to stay informed about what’s happening in aviation,” said BoldMethod co-founder Colin Cutler. “Plus, it’s just fun to listen to.”
