Sporty’s offers PIVOT iPad case for pilots

By General Aviation News Staff · June 18, 2015 ·

Now available from Sporty’s is PIVOT system, which combines an iPad case and smart cover with a quick-release mount for the cockpit.

PivotMade of durable, impact-absorbing polycarbonate along with “Splash-Seals” for all ports, PIVOT has already proven itself in daily operations with more than 8,000 Southwest Airlines pilots, according to Sporty’s officials.

“There are plenty of iPad cases to choose from, but none were designed specifically for aviation. Most are too bulky and cumbersome in tight cockpits,” says Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman. “Add a beefy mounting system to the already-oversized case and you’re left with a system that takes up over half your flight bag.”Pivot2

Because it was designed as a complete system, PIVOT avoids these problems. The case includes a slide-lock mechanism that allows for a reliable connection to the mounting arm. Installation and removal is fast and easy – you can do it in one second and with one hand. PIVOT can be attached to any non-porous surface with the included suction cup. The rotating arm of the mount provides 360° rotation.

The complete PIVOT Case kit for iPad Air 1 [5005A], iPad Air 2 [7768A] or the iPad Mini 1-3 [5052A] are each available for $129.95.
