Registration open for free Teacher’s Day at Oshkosh

By General Aviation News Staff · June 22, 2015 ·

Registration for Build A Plane’s annual Teachers’ Day is now open online.

This free event brings teachers together from across the nation to examine ways of using aviation to motivate kids to learn science, math, engineering and technology and is held each year on the show grounds during the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture.

Cody HelicopterDick Rutan, pilot of the Voyager, the first plane to fly nonstop around the world, will be on hand to share his own childhood aspirations to fly.

This year Teachers’ Day is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, from 8:30 am until noon and will take place the EAA’s Nature Center. The event is free. Teachers also get free parking, a free lunch and free entrance into AirVenture.
