I attended Spartan School of Aeronautics in 1971/72 time frame. I earned my A&P and a insurance claims adjusters credentials while their. I even took my own aircraft a 1946 Aeronca 7AC through the school as a personal project, too. The most extensive annual one could get. Fresh engine, instruments some new fabric and a new paint job. May thanks to the instructors and sharp students that helped me, too.
Spartan Aviation trained pilots before WWII and built; mail planes, TG gliders for the military and the great looking Spartan Executive airplanes, too. The Spartan Flight School located at the Jones Riverside Airport, in Tulsa also owned a Spartan Executive, but I am not sure of the model number, I believe it was a 7W, not sure though and they use to it operate regularly. Spartan also built a tricycle version called the model 8W. Never certified that model as I think there were only two built and one survives today.
