Picture of the day: Mystery Field Trip to the airport

By General Aviation News Staff · July 1, 2015 ·

Today’s photos were originally published in the Vermont Aviation June newsletter, with a great story about how students from the Molly Stark Elementary School visited William H. Morse State Airport (DDH) in Bennington, Vermont.

The accompanying story by 2nd Lt Christopher Wright — who also took the photos — notes that “a group of Mrs. Kline’s students from Molly Stark School visited the William H. Morse State Airport in Bennington on a ‘Mystery Field Trip.'”

The trip was arranged with the assistance of airport manager Rob Luther.

Civil Air Patrol Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Matthew Warren, 2d Lt David Sutton, 2d Lt Roland Smith, 2d Lt Christopher Wright and airport regular Dave Anderson gave the students a tour of the airport, operations and numerous aircraft.
