Fly-In to honor first female airline captain

The Colorado Pilots Association will honor Emily Warner, the first female airline captain in the U.S., at the newly named Emily Warner Field (GNB) — the Granby/Grand County Airport — at a fly-in July 11.

emily_howell_warnerThe day kicks off at 7 a.m. with the grand opening of the Emily Warner Field Aviation Museum in the former Rocky Mountain Airways Airline terminal/

EAA Chapter 1267 will host a pancake breakfast and aviation scholarship auction from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed at 10 a.m. by a dedication ceremony re-naming the Granby/Grand County Airport
to honor Warner.
