STCs granted for Cessna prop upgrades

By General Aviation News Staff · July 13, 2015 ·

BLOOMER, Wis. — Flight-Resource reports its STC for a MT Propeller 79” 3-blade option is now approved, along with the 83” 2-blade configuration, for all Cessna 170,172 and 175 that are powered by a Lycoming -360 series engine.

DSCN9580“The slightly shorter 3-blade prop provides higher initial thrust, making it perfect for applications where short takeoff and best climb are required,” said Flight-Resource’s John Nielsen. “At the same time, the design reduces drag such that there is no cruise speed loss. The smaller diameter also provides a bit more ground clearance.”

Approval extends to all float and ski operations.

Flight-Resource is the exclusive supplier of this enhancement and is providing a trade program for those running the 2 blade MT Propeller.

I have a Cessna 172M with the O-360 and may be a candidate for your newer prop but need to know a couple of things: What is the cost of your new one for my airplane, and can I trade in my older metal prop for savings.?
