Kitfox introduces STi — STOL Inspired — wing

By General Aviation News Staff · July 22, 2015 ·

Kitfox has introduced another option for its S7 Super Sport design. Recently designed, and flown to EAA AirVenture, is a NEW STi (STOL Inspired) retrofittable wing option, which cuts takeoff and landing ground roll by more than 150 feet, and reduces cruise speed by less than 25 mph, according to company officials.

Kitfox2Even though S7 Super Sport takeoff and landing ground rolls are around 300 feet — which usually suffice for island beaches, river sand bars, or the mountain backcountry — Kitfox Aircraft continues to get requests for shorter takeoff and landing distances, officials noted.
