Gord McNulty sent in this photo, explaining: “A refurbished F-86 Sabre in the colors of Canada’s legendary Golden Hawks precision demonstration team makes an impressive display at Belleville, Ontario.”
“The Sabre was originally presented to the City of Belleville by the Lions Club in 1967 and has twice been refurbished by staff at nearby Canadian Forces Base Trenton, most recently in 2014. The Golden Hawks were established in 1959 to honor the 50th anniversary of powered flight in Canada. They flew until 1964.”
