CalPilots host ‘A Capital Idea!’

By General Aviation News Staff · October 19, 2015 ·

The California Pilots Association will host “A Capital Idea!” Oct. 24 at Sacramento Executive Airport (KSAC) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Activities will stream non-stop during the day, including presentations by world renown aviation educator and humorist Rod Machado and CalTrans Division of Aeronautics Chief Gary Cathey, who will discuss the state’s general aviation airports and aviation programs.

Whether you’re a CalPilots member or not you’ll want to attend the CalPilots Annual Meeting that begins at 10:30 am. Here you’ll hear how CalPilots serves to preserve, protect, and promote California’s general aviation community and airports.

Dann Shively, helicopter pilot/TV reporter, keynotes the meeting with a visual account of an airport’s demise from his aerial perch.

There will be free parking for both airplanes and autos. Lunch will be offered on site, prepared by the Aviator’s Restaurant.

Preregistration online is encouraged. FAASafety “WINGS” Program credit is available through FAASafety.gov.
