LOS ANGELES – With drones expected to be a holiday season must-have, a new interest in aviation is emerging from the hobbyist to professional pilots. Industry leaders and enthusiasts will gather at the International Drone Expo (IDE), to discuss the future of this developing drone economy at the Los Angeles Convention Center Dec. 11-12.
“Less than a decade ago, people could not fathom why there would be a need to have a smartphone,” said Keith Kaplan, co-founder and CEO of the Unmanned Autonomous Vehicle Systems Association (UAVSA). “Now smartphones are commonplace and play a very integral part in many people’s lives. Likewise, drones are trending towards becoming familiar and mainstream. From agriculture, entertainment, security, news, commerce and beyond, this aircraft will become necessary and play a role in many industries.”
Tickets for IDE 2015 are available now for both the Business Conference for $325 and the Expo for $30.
