Picture of the day: 80 and still flying

Robert “Bob” Bement taking off in his 1959 Cessna 182 from a dirt strip in Crowley, Ore. Bob, 80, is a member of the United Flying Octogenarians and still flying. He loves to fly the Idaho backcountry and has some of his flights on YouTube under skybobb.

    This is just great, It doesn’t get any better that this. I envy people that just refuse to let go and continue to enjoy life as it was meant too be enjoyed, keep up the good life gentlemen and fly safe always…

    At Bolivar Mo. at the Gene Engeldow field, Gene made Five take offs and landings in his Aeronca Chief ! On his Hundredth Birthday. He is currently 102 and looking for a Champ!
