AeroWave 100 now shipping

By General Aviation News Staff · December 8, 2015 ·

BendixKing, a division of Honeywell Aerospace, reports it is now shipping the next-generation BendixKing AeroWave 100 in-flight connectivity solution with an Active Low Gain Antenna (LGA).

The system offers worldwide connectivity to general aviation aircraft with a low-cost service plan based on hours of use.

“Building on our revolutionary first-generation AeroWave 100 system, we have simplified installation and decreased overall weight by almost 4 pounds with our new Active Low Gain Antenna,” said Justin Ryan, president, BendixKing. “Our in-flight Internet service provides a simple per-hour plan that eliminates the potential surprise charges often seen on plans billed by the amount of data used.”

The AeroWave 100 Active LGA is an Inmarsat Class 15 system that provides worldwide Internet access.

With a pre-paid plan customers get an effective rate of $40 an hour, eliminating unexpected charges associated with traditional per-MB satellite data plans, according to company officials.

The AeroWave 100 is available through the BendixKing dealer network. Price is $24,995 with installation kit including a standard ARINC 600 tray and $27,499 with installation kit including an ARINC 600 tray with cooling fan.
