Breitling Jet Team releases 2016 American tour schedule

The Breitling Jet Team will extend its North American Tour into 2016. The aerobatic display team is made up of seven pilots flying L-39 C Albatros jets, at times reaching speeds of 565 mph and flying within just a few feet of each other.

The team’s 2015 North American Tour took the team from coast to coast across the United States and Canada — something it will repeat in 2016.The Breitling Jet Team American Tour will perform at approximately 15 airshows in the U.S. and Canada in 2016.

The team will be returning to some of the same airshows it performed at in 2015 including the SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In & Expo in Lakeland, Florida; the Bethpage Air Show in Jones Beach, N.Y.; the Boeing Seafair Weekend in Seattle; the Abbotsford International Air Show in Abbotsford, BC, Canada; the Canadian International Air Show in Toronto; and the MCAS Miramar Air Show in Miramar, Calif.

The team will also perform at some new airshows in 2016 including the Fort Lauderdale Air Show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; the McGuire Air Force Base Air Show in Burlington County, N.J.; the Great Tennessee Air Show in Smyrna, Tenn.; the Rockford AirFest in Rockford, Ill.; Warriors Over the Wasatch in Salt Lake City, Utah; the Intel Oregon International Air Show in Hillsboro, Ore.; Thunder Over Michigan in Ypsilanti, Mich.; San Francisco Fleet Week in San Francisco; and the Huntington Beach Air Show in Huntington Beach, Calif.
