Hah! Great shot Eric. Thats me and my son sharing one of our favorite pastimes–hanging out at the airport after eating pancakes. I took him flying for the first time this past summer. Its a privelege to be able to share aviation with him.
Like January 1’s Picture of the Day, Let’s Go Fly!, another “poster child” – a real one – for GA. The alphabets should consider collecting these, with parents’ permission, of course, and a catchy slogan (see “No Plane, No Gain”) to develop a cooperative program to encourage children and youth in GA, and including photos of girls/young women and children/youth of color. There are certainly GA groups which focus on these latter demographics, but a photo paints a thousand words.
