Picture of the day: Warbird in flight

By General Aviation News Staff · January 21, 2016 ·

Ken VeArd of Pilot Partner captured this shot while flying in formation with a Vietnam-era Cessna 0-2 piloted by Lee Denham over College Station, Texas. The O-2 saw significant action in Vietnam and still has skins patched from bullet holes received during service. The Warbird will be available for sale soon, VeArd noted.

Ah yes. The fabled pushmi-pullyu, aka ‘Suck ‘n’ Blow’. One of Cessna’s better designs. Unfortunate fuel consumption but the safety of another engine if one of the powerplants powers down unexpectedly.
