Machado tapped as keynote speaker for Sebring Expo

SEARING, Florida — Aviation safety speaker Rod Machado will be one of the keynote speakers at the 2017 U.S. Sport Aviation Expo.

He is the author of numerous flight training textbooks, including Rod Machado’s Sport Pilot Handbook. Besides his keynote address he will also present three programs between Thursday, Jan. 26 and Friday, Jan. 27.

Since 1973, Machado has been teaching and speaking to pilots in the U.S. and Europe. He started flying at age 16, is a rated ATP with all fixed wing flight instructor ratings. He holds degrees in Aviation Science and Psychology.

Rod is the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association’s National Flight Instructor Spokesman and a National Accident Prevention Counselor appointed by the FAA in Washington D.C.

Because of his vast CFI experience and unique style, he was chosen to write the flight lessons and be the CFI voice on Microsoft’s Flight Simulator.

His 10 book titles include Rod Machado’s Instrument Pilots Handbook and Rod Machado’s How to Fly an Airplane.
