Backcountry aircraft: Is your plane on the list?

By General Aviation News Staff · March 10, 2016 ·

BackcountryPilot.org contains a wealth of information for pilots who are already veterans of backcountry flying, as well as those who dream of trying it.

Included in its Knowledge Base is a list of backcountry aircraft, which is long and includes many planes you wouldn’t necessarily consider as ready for the backcountry. Check it out here to see if your plane is on the list.

Don’t forget or overlook the Cessna L-19 / O-1 Birddog. It makes a wonderful Back Country aircraft.
