I agree, was doing it 54 years ago in my Funk B-85-C
I still like to cut toilet paper after 50 years…….with my Swift.
Some rules:
1. Always cut close to the top, if you cut the bottom you can get a TP cloud you do not want.
2. Always turn in a little low to keep it sight if the back ground terrain hides it.
3. Always take it right on the spinner and just as you are touch a rudder to avoid TP in the cowl
4. wind up a few feet in a wad to toss it out in a near stall.
5. Use strong TP you would not buy at home
6 Never, never lose sight, and if you stall doing this in a tight turn, just keep the nose down and let out a little G and suck it right back in. Now you are ready for the MiGs!
That sure brings back memories. Five or six of us would go up in sport planes to 10K feet toss out an industrial roll then start cutting in 25 foot intervals. We would pre-brief before launch go up and attack.
With a long roll and at that altitude and interval one would get many “hits” on the same roll. I remember one of the guys who fought the fight with a Falco who actually hit the core of a roll once and the core went through the cowling opening, bypassing the prop and resting in the area between the cylinder and the engine case. We noticed it lodged there when we pushed the bird back in the hangar!
That may be so but where is your video to prove it??!!
That’s nothing new, we did it 50 years ago in cubs and champs, even a few times in a piper colt.
