The Recreational Aviation Foundation (RAF) Weekend at Ryan Field (2MT1) in West Glacier, Mont., is slated for
June 24-26.
The “no-host” fly-in is open to everyone, RAF officials note. However, due to space and safety, the number of aircraft is limited to 35. There is no limit on vehicles, campers, or people, RAF officials note.
If you prefer, there are hotels close by, but you’ll want to make reservations right away because this is a busy time of year so close to Glacier Park, organizers warn.
“If you’re so inclined, bring your work gloves – there are always jobs to do,” RAF officials included in the invitation.
“Pack your own food in and please pack leftovers out, as they become bear attractants,” officials add.
The RAF’s Dave and John Whitelaw are roasting a pig for Saturday night, complete with salads and dessert for $15 per person; kids eat free. A dinner ticket also enters you in the drawing for free RAF logo wear.
