Free NextGen Seminar slated for Virginia

By General Aviation News Staff · August 26, 2016 ·

Duncan Aviation’s Regional Avionics Sales Manager Mark Francetic will lead a free NextGen seminar Sept. 22 in Chantilly, Virginia.

Located at the Holiday Inn Chantilly-Dulles Expo (4335 Chantilly Shopping Center, Chantilly, Virginia 20151), the seminar will help educate general aviation aircraft owners about the NextGen mandates and existing solutions.

From 8:30 a.m. until 2:10 p.m. eastern time, Francetic and partners ARINC Direct, Honeywell, Satcom Direct, L-3 Aviation and Rockwell Collins will present information about the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) and Future Air Navigation Systems 1A (FANS 1A) mandates.

Discussion includes information about the Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and certified equipment that’s currently available for business jets.

Attendees will also hear about the FAA’s plan to roll out Controller Pilot Data Link Communications-Departure Clearance (CPDLC-DCL) at 56 more airports throughout 2016 and what that means for FANS-equipped business jets.

Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provided.

Seminar space usually fills to capacity, so those interested should contact Mark Francetic for more information and to RSVP.
