STC awarded for MT-Propeller on Malibus

By General Aviation News Staff · September 9, 2016 ·

The new scimitar blade design replaces the older 30a blades for better performance, according to company officials.

According to MT-Propeller President Gerd Muehlbauer, the installation features:

  • Shorter takeoff distance by approximately 5% (SL, ISA conditions);
  • Enhanced climb and cruise performance by approximately 5 to 10% (SL, ISA conditions); and
  • Enhanced cruise performance by 5 to 8 kts (MTOW, ISA conditions).

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades also provide inside and outside noise reduction, company officials said, adding they have no life limitation, and are repairable in case of an FOD.
