Pictures of the day: A different kind of power

Adrian den Hartog sent in these photos, captured during a flight last October in a Cessna 172M. The first is of a windmill farm near Mojave, Calif., while the second is  over Ivanpah Solar Power Facility, also in Mojave.

    Very cool. The Ivanpah Solar plant is the largest in the world. The Alta Wind Farm is the largest in the US and 3rd largest in the world (on land). Very cool photos and Wiki’ed both of them to find out some cool info.
