ASA debuts Remote Pilot eKit

ASA’s new Remote Pilot eKit combines eBooks, videos, online software, and FAA reference documents to help educate and prepare applicants for the Remote Pilot Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems FAA Knowledge Exam.

With this course, applicants will learn the rules and regulations pertaining to commercial drone operations, as well as in-depth knowledge of aeronautical charts, weather and weather reporting systems to know when and where they can operate safely and effectively, according to ASA officials.

asaremotepilotkitThe contents of this eKit include digital versions of the new 2017 FAR/AIM (with Part 107), the Airman Certification Standards for Remote Pilot: Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems, the ASA Remote Pilot Test Prep, the FAA’s Remote Pilot Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Study Guide, and over five hours of video on the topics of Weather, Weather Services, Procedures and Airport Operations, Enroute Flight, and Communications Procedures.

Also included is a seven-day study plan and five online practice tests to take in preparation for the exam.
