Flying Aviation Expo prepares for takeoff

By General Aviation News Staff · October 12, 2016 ·

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – Some of the best known names in general aviation, including Cessna, Garmin, Pilatus, Cirrus, Avidyne and Piper, are expected to be exhibitors at the Flying Aviation Expo Presented by Scheyden, Oct. 20-22 2016.

The show is designed for those who have an interest in flying, whether it’s as a hobby or for business, according to organizers.

The show will feature static displays of both modern and vintage aircraft. Flight simulators, provided by Fly This Sim and California Aeronautical University, will also be available

On Saturday, spend an hour getting guidance on how, when and where to start and complete your journey to being a certificated pilot at the Learn to Fly seminar. Additionally, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association has put together a free program that provides all the step-by-step ground training needed to complete a Flight Review. John King and Rod Machado join more than two dozen other speakers in daily seminars, followed by evening entertainment. The Expo’s Hilton Poolside Party Friday evening features a world class magician who is also a pilot.

As a grand finale to the three-day event, the Expo’s 007 themed party will feature Sal ‘The Voice’ Valentinetti, from America’s Got Talent along with LA cover band Night Owl.
