International Women’s Air & Space Museum to host author day

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The International Women’s Air & Space Museum (IWASM) will host its annual book sale and pancake breakfast, Nov. 5, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Many books and other aviation items will be available for purchase.

IWASM logoBreakfast includes pancakes, sausage, and orange juice. While it’s free to attend, there is a suggested donation of $5 for breakfast.

New to the event this year will be book signings by local authors, including Tom Matowitz, “Cleveland’s National Air Races,” Ann Otto, “Yours in a Hurry,” Harry Haskell, “Maiden Flight: A Novel,” and Jef Benedetti, “The Hundred Year Road Trip.”

The museum offers free admission. Exhibit hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Office, gift shop and research center hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum is located in the terminal of Burke Lakefront Airport. The mission of IWASM is to preserve the history of women in aviation and space and to document their continuing contributions today and in the future.
