Torque equipment manufacturer Hydratight has launched its Sweeney brand digital torque multiplier series.
Complete with a high resolution 7-inch Android tablet display, the multipliers increase accuracy and control during all operations, according to company officials.
The series has been launched in 1,000 and 5,000 foot-pound models, with a third 2,200 foot-pound model in development.
The equipment is used on many aircraft turbine types in combination with accessories, including anchors and sockets, work handles, slings and pneumatic and mechanical tools, all to Hydratight or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
Technicians use the prop tools to apply torque to propeller shaft retaining nuts and engine thrust bearing nuts during assembly and disassembly.
