Cirrus Vision Jet certified

By General Aviation News Staff · November 1, 2016 ·

The Cirrus Vision Jet has achieved FAA certification, paving the way for customer deliveries this year.

The Vision Jet — called a single-engine Personal Jet by Cirrus Aircraft officials — can accommodate up to five adults and two children.

It features the proprietary Cirrus Perspective Touch by Garmin flight deck and is approved for Flight Into Known Ice (FIKI). The jet is powered by a FADEC-controlled Williams International FJ33-5A turbofan engine.

The jet also features a Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS).

The Vision Jet joins Cirrus Aircraft’s product portfolio, which includes the SR-series of high-performance piston airplanes — the best-selling aircraft in the world for 13 consecutive years — with more than 6,500 aircraft operating in over 60 countries.

Initial customer deliveries of the Vision Jet are scheduled to begin in 2016, with production ramping up throughout 2017, according to company officials. Base price of the jet is $1.96 million.

A great day in GA. Cirrus has carved out a chunk of factor for this plane and is building a new facility in TN for customers to get trained and pick-up their planes. None of the other VLJ project made it to production…

Brilliant. Congratulations on the Certification of the Cirrus Vision Jet.
The Jet looks are like no other on the tarmac…
    Striking, beautiful ect.
Would your company save a huge amount of money and time in the future when building a larger Cirrus jet by, simply scaling up the Vision jet. Just a thought. Looking forward.
