Beaver Lake Aviation celebrates 30 years

By General Aviation News Staff · November 8, 2016 ·

ROGERS, Arkansas — Beaver Lake Aviation, a Phillips 66 Aviation branded FBO and a subsidiary of Wal-Mart, recently celebrated its 30-year anniversary.

Located at Rogers Executive Airport (KROG), the northwest Arkansas FBO is a destination for corporate businesses and a stopover for cross-country general aviation flights and aircraft traveling to local attractions like the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art or the popular 28,000-acre Beaver Lake located high in the Ozark Mountains, according to officials.

Beaver Lake Aviation provides an array of services including aircraft deicing, overnight hangar accommodations, Phillips 66 Jet A and avgas, car and driver arrangements, conference rooms, crew lounges, snooze rooms, an on-site restaurant and car rental.

KROG has a 6,011-foot runway and offers on-site fire and rescue services, an air traffic control tower and customs and border protection on the field.

While Beaver Lake Aviation services Walmart’s transportation needs, the FBO is also open to the general public. Its facility was built in 2002 and houses a full-size replica of Walmart founder Sam Walton’s first aircraft, an ERCO Ercoupe.
