The Pilot’s Manual: Private Pilot Syllabus updated

By General Aviation News Staff · November 24, 2016 ·

The latest edition of the The Pilot’s Manual: Private Pilot Syllabus is now available in print and PDF formats.

This syllabus meets FAA Part 141 and Part 61 requirements and has been updated to comply with the Airman Certification Standards for Private pilot Airplane (FAA-S-ACS-6) and the new fourth edition of The Pilot’s Manual: Ground School (ASA-PM-2C).

Flight lessons are presented side-by-side with their coordinating ground lessons. This integrated approach provides the most efficient path to completion, yet still allows for ground school and flight training to run independent of each other, according to ASA officials.

The syllabus includes “Optional Reviews” in each stage, allowing the student to review material when necessary, yet still follow the syllabus and maintain progress. Instructor endorsements, stage exams, airman certificate rating application, and checkride checklist are also included.

This syallabus serves as a companion to The Pilot’s Manual: Ground School and Flight School textbooks.

The PDF version is available for free at ASA2Fly.com
