Lightspeed Aviation introduces flight bag

By General Aviation News Staff · November 25, 2016 ·

Lightspeed Aviation has introduced the DeLaurentis leather flight bag.

The messenger bag is named for modern aviation adventurer and author Robert DeLaurentis. To help kick off the launch, Lightspeed is offering a free autographed copy of DeLaurentis’s new book “Zen Pilot: Flight of Passion and the Journey Within” with the first 100 DeLaurentis flight bags ordered.

The DeLaurentis is handmade using full grain South American cowhide and includes many pilot-centric features. A padded iPad pocket provides both protection and easy access while another wide interior compartment holds sectionals and other flat items. A drawstring headset bag protects the headset and keeps cables tidy, while sewn-in pockets, elastic loops, and a front organizer compartment keep phones, chargers, IDs, and other small items secured.

The main compartment is large enough to hold a headset and a large water bottle (secured by an elastic strap), with plenty of room left over for accessories.

On the outside, four heavy-duty steel rings finished in antique brass secure a padded shoulder strap or easy-carry handle (both are included), as well as accessories.

The DeLaurentis sells for $199 and includes a 1-year limited warranty.
