Jet Aviation takes off at VNY

By General Aviation News Staff · November 26, 2016 ·

Earlier this year, Jet Aviation was awarded a 30-year lease for a 17-acre site by the City of Los Angeles to establish an FBO at Van Nuys Airport (VNY). The company has since been granted approval by Los Angeles World Airports to begin operating, and is now offering FBO services from an interim terminal.

Offerings include full line service capabilities and 24/7 guarded entry to the airport and ramp.

Jet Aviation plans to build a 20,000-square-foot FBO terminal and two hangars totaling almost 95,000 square feet with associated back shop and office space, all to be completed by the end of 2018.

The Van Nuys facility is the company’s eighth facility in the Americas.

Jet Aviation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, was founded in Switzerland in 1967. The company provides maintenance, completions and refurbishment, engineering, FBO and fuel services, along with aircraft management, charter services, aircraft sales and personnel services.
