Picture of the day: A fiery start

Gord McNulty sent in this photo, with a note: “It was a fiery start as flames momentarily erupted from the Merlin engine of the Commemorative Air Force P-51D Mustang, “Red Nose,” piloted by CAF Red Tail Squadron Leader Bill Shepard, during a visit to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at Hamilton, Ontario, in August 2016. Bill flew in with the CAF Red Tails “Rise Above” Travelling Exhibit about the history and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen in World War II.gord-mcnulty
