    Battle of Britan.
Still watch in awe. Pity about the silly parts, but very inspiring.

A memorable, unique picture is “Skyward”, a made-for-TV movie, starring Bettye Davis, in her last movie before she had a stroke. There is an all-star cast, a few from “Happy Days”, with Ron Howard as Director, in his early days. The movie is about a girl in a wheelchair who always looks up and winds up learning to fly, with Bettye Davis as her instructor. The film features real handicapped glider pilots, who help to encourage the girl to overcome her limitations. I think you can watch it on YouTube.

OK: The Tuskegee Airman , Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo, and of course Twelve O’ Clock High!

THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY… especially the part where John Wayne gives “Captain” Robert Stack a little “attitude adjustment”…

There’s a lot of good stuff mentioned here, in fact, great stuff, but my favorite aviation movie for the last 60 years is The Bridges At Toko Ri. War is terrible but it reveals our heros, whether they come home or not.

“The High Road to China” This is a great adventure love movie. The pilot has two Bi-Wing Fighters and is tricked into taking on a mission by a young lady with too much money and attitude.

“Airport” and “Airport 1975.” Nothing better than those big, old Boeing jets, George Kennedy, Dean Martin and Charleton Hesston — and a flight attendant in the left seat of a damaged 747!

Airplane. It’s the most accurate airline movie ever.

“To Fly” presented in the IMAX theater of NASM. It reminds me of the unique prespective flying provides.

That movie is one of the reasons I became a pilot!

I loved both of the documentaries he mentioned, One Six Right and Living in the Age of Airplanes. Both are great! I would add the Canadian TV series The Aviators to the list, even though is not a movie, it is a great TV show.

    The Right Stuff!
Seeing that movie as a kid inspired me to become a pilot.
