Wintering in Arizona

By General Aviation News Staff · October 26, 2017 ·

Geremy Kornreich sent us this photo of the Goodyear Blimp “Wingfoot Two,” as it gets tethered down at Marana Regional Airport near Tucson, Arizona, on Oct. 24, 2017.

“The blimp is occasionally there during the winter season, and certainly makes the airport easy to find,” he reports.

When we have major sporting events in the NYC area there will be a blimp at Solberg Airport(N51). As you say, makes it easy to find the airport, and is also a great wind sock!
