PlaneJunkies posted the video on Dec. 14, 2017, taken on his daughter’s fourth birthday and her first aerobatic flight in a Christen Eagle.
“She has been flying in the Eagle since the age of two riding along, but was just to small to put on a parachute until now,” dad reports.
Her first request: A four-point roll.
This kid will never forget the gift, that is amazing:)
Happy Birthday, and keep flying! Hope Dad makes this an annual event (completely better than cake and candles).
Agree with Roland: my first flight was as a young woman, on a turboprop commuter which looked like a flying shoebox. (With a mother terrified of flying, family vacations were by car.) I could not wait to board – not knowing then that GA would become a focus. (Or maybe I did?)
The joy on her face reminds me of the first time I went flying in an airplane. the grin on my face lasted all day long. Those of us that have been on aviation a looong time need to cultivate the joy of flight amount those that will take over for us into the future. Happy birthday, Piper. I enjoyed watching you experience your first aerobatic flight. I hope it won’t be your last.
That’s a great birthday present
Happy birthday Piper
Now that’s an Awesome birthday present for an incredible young girl!
