What a nice old Beech 18. I flew one for Buckeye Airways in the 70’s. The sound of those P&W 450 hp engines at 45″ and 2500 rpm’s for takeoff was ear splitting. Those were the days though. I was flying out of western KY. This year I’ll be doing a FIRC class in Morristown, NJ. Still flying at 72, I first flew in 1966 when I did my first solo. I became a CFI in March, 1970 after a stint in the Army.
