Judy Birchler, the force behind LadiesLoveTaildraggers.com, had the right idea: Escape all the bad news about coronavirus and fly the perimeter of her home state, Indiana, in an RV-7.
The post details the 10 lessons she learned from the experience, including #9: “If not for the coronavirus, the 1,000 miles flown could have taken us to A) northeast to St. John Airport, New Brunswick, Canada, B) west to Pueblo, Colorado, C) North to Peawanuck Airport, North Ontario on the Hudson Bay, D) or South to the Florida Keys. Instead, we flew a very oddly shaped rectangle.”
But the best line in the post is the last line:
“Oh heck, let’s make a #11: 6.25 hours flying anywhere is way better than any 6.25 hours on my sofa.”
