Sporty’s now carries HangarBot, a smart hangar system.
HangarBot systems are remotely controlled via a mobile app, downloadable on any iOS phone or tablet. HangarBot gives aviators the ability to monitor their hangar, according to company officials.

The company also has several other products available, including its Smart Industrial Grade Outlet, which allows for remote engine preheating, while the HangarBot Remote Hangar Door Controller integrates directly with electric or hydraulic powered doors. Users can use the HangarBot app to open and close their hangar door while simultaneously viewing the end result through live stream video from the comfort of their home, office, or cockpit.
“With the HangarBot Door Controller I can rest assured that I can access my hangar at any time, even if I forget my keys or the pesky line of sight remote,” said property manager Robyn Cole. “I’ve also been able to let my maintenance crew into the hangar while I’m out of town.”

Security and surveillance is provided in every camera hub with the ability to add additional cameras as needed. The app stores 24/7 video footage with motion detection notifications sent straight to the user’s phone. Pilots can download a snapshot or check in on the hangar with live streaming anytime.
And Sporty’s will be exclusively introducing HangarBot’s “Smart Flight Training Assistant,” which features the essential camera hub unit and two expansion cameras for an enhanced instructor to student experience, according to company officials.
Also available through Sporty’s will be the Engine Preheating Solutions, which include an outlet to allow for remote access to an engine’s block heater.

Additionally, à la carte devices will be available for purchase as pilots wish to complete their smart hangar upgrade. These include HangarBot’s Door Controller, Thermostat, and Manual Door Sensor.
The systems run on 4G cellular service on any personal devices. All data subscriptions are taken care of on HangarBot.com/Register.
