Mike Taylor sent in these photos of Baylor Randle, a 91-year-old pilot who flies his 1943 Taylorcraft L-2 from Cannon Field (53T) in Texas. Mike notes: “A pilot since 1945, Baylor received the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award in 2014. He’s also a veteran of the Korean War. When flying for Alamo Liaison Squadron in San Antonio, Texas, Baylor flies the missing man maneuver in his L-2. He flies weekly and is an inspiration to the entire squadron. The only assistance he requires is hand-propping his 65-horsepower engine, which starts smoothly and sports a recently purchased new wooden propeller.”
