EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — With the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down most aviation events, aviators are turning to the Internet to get their fix.
Helping fulfill that need is the expanded series of free webinars from the Experimental Aircraft Association.
“EAA’s webinars are perfect for what is perhaps the best part of aviation — enjoying the sense of community with others who share that passion for flying,” said Charlie Becker, EAA’s director of chapters, communities, and homebuilt community manager. “The upcoming webinars in May and June continue that tradition, with everything from pilot knowledge and aircraft maintenance to flying skills and aviation history.”
The webinars start at 7 p.m. Central time. Many of them are eligible for FAA WINGS and AMT credits through the FAA Safety Program.
Webinars include:
- Tuesday, May 19: Understanding Hypoxia in Aviation; Steve Martin*
- Wednesday, May 20: Getting to Know the Rotax 915 iS Engine; Jorge Tavio*
- Wednesday, May 27: Amateur-Built Condition Inspections; Vic Syracuse*
- Wednesday, June 3: Predictive Maintenance; Michael Busch*
